MY Current Research Focuses on the Gut Microbiome, Metabolomics, Colorectal Adenoma and Cancer, and Immunotherapy. Other Areas of Interests Include Cancer Biomarkers, Molecular Markers of Prognosis, Gene-Environment Interactions, and Health Disparities. i have Led Multidisciplinary Research Collaborations at the Local and National Levels. i have Served as Principal Investigator, Co-Pi or Co-I on Funded R01 and GI Spore Grants from the National Institutes of Health (Nih; National Cancer Institute and Niddk). i have Published Over 90 Peer-Reviewed Scientific Articles. in Addition, i am Excited About Mentoring. i am the Director of the Partners Program, A Research Education Program That Provides Research Experience in Cancer Biology and Public Health to Underrepresented Minority Students from North Carolina Central University (Nccu) and Unc Chapel Hill.
