• Undergraduate Research Advisor: Prof. Alan Cutler Investigated Ligand Induced Migratory Insertion Reactions of Eta-5-Cyclopentadienyl and Eta-5-Indenyl Dicarbonyl Iron Alkyl Complexes as A Function of Incoming Ligand (Phosphine or Co) and Alkyl Substituent. Indenyl Iron Complexes were Shown to Undergo CO Migratory Insertion More Readily Than Analogous Cyclopentadienyl Complexes as A Result of Access to Eta-3-Indenyl Iron Intermediates.
