• Activities and Societies: WE Studied Many Aspects of the Japanese Society and Industry. Some may have Described the Schedule and the Pace as Draconian but i Loved Every Minute of It. it was Excellent Prep for Living in Japan.This was A Very Intense Program (12 Hour Days and Saturdays) to Prepare ME for A Wonderful Assignment at Mitsubishi Nagoya Works. i Learned About the Japanese Culture, Language, the Japanese Market and Industry. The Days Flew by as Everything was SO Interesting!
• Activities and Societies: i Constructed Many Electrical Circuits. In Fact i was Part of A Team That Built A Circuit to Detect the Onset of Energy Second Breakdown of A Bi-Polar Transistor. WE Wanted to Detect the Initial Start of the Phenomenon SO That WE could Then Turn Off the Power and Save A Test Device from Being Completely Destroyed. WE Wanted to Learn How the Device Failed SO That WE could Determine How to Make A Better Device. It was Very Interesting Work.Northeastern University was an Excellent Educational Experience. it Broadened MY View on How to Solve Problems and Gave ME Very Useful Skills That have Served ME Well MY Entire Life. The Attitude of the Professors Impressed Me. They Always Stressed the Value of an Engineer to Our Society and They Instilled A Confidence in the Student Population That an Education at Northeastern would Make US Top-Performing Engineers. I was Also Taught the Value of Getting Things Right. There were no Shortcuts. A Project had to be Well Researched and the Details had to be Checked and Double Checked. i was Taught That Engineering was A Profession Where the Details as Well as the Final Result Counted and the Education Provided Showed How to Take Care of the Details While Keeping the Big Picture in Focus.
