• Activities and Societies: are You Kidding? i was Studying! Wait, There was One Thing. in the Summer of 1968 i was Employed/Participated in the Summer Engineering Practice School at Argonne National Laboratory Outside Chicago. Frozen Sncl4, Gef4 Enthalpy of Formation, Hot and Cold Pressing Procedures for Nuclear Fuel. in One of Those i Also Learned That When A Person Goes Back and Forth Between A 60-Degree-Fahrenheit Lab and A Humid, 98-Degree Chicago Summer Day, Severe Abdominal Cramps will Set in at Some Point.I Saw Msu Play Usc (O.J. Simpson) at Football on A Cold, Snowy Afternoon in East Lansing. it was A Memory of A Lifetime, and I'M not Even A Football Fan. Then WE Went Over to Some Guy'S House and had Jim Beam and Fried Black Squirrel. Well, One Guy and i had Fried Squirrel; i Guess the Rest of the People had Grown UP in the City.
• Activities and Societies: no Official Organizations. Occasionally i Practiced on A Piano i Found in One of the Classrooms. i Continued to Stay in Shape by Jogging All Over Glendale, Although i had to do it in Between Smog Alerts. i Worked MY Way Through School as A Nurse'S Aide in A Convalescent Hospital, Which was Very Interesting. Much of Value Goes on in the Minds of Those Who have Been Dismissed as Senile.The Curriculum was Much Like That of Medical School -- Less Pharmacology and Surgery, but More Radiology, Nutrition, and Physical Therapy. And, of Course, WE Learned Chiropractic Manipulation. Perhaps it was Thanks to MY Education in Physics, but as i Studied MY Medical Textbooks in Human Anatomy and Physiology, i Found Myself Crossing Many Things Out and Writing &Quot;No!&Quot; in the Margins. Medical Science Hasn'T Caught UP with ME in A Few Areas Yet, Especially Endocrinology. the Central Nervous System might be King, but the Endocrine System is the Power Behind the Throne.
• Activities and Societies: i was Elected to Phi Beta Kappa MY Junior Year. Let'S See. There must have Been Something Else i did Other Than Study. Can'T Think of Anything at the Moment. Hmm. i was A Chambermaid at the Great Harbour Inn on Martha'S Vineyard the Summer Before MY Senior Year. Interesting Experience.Description of What? Okay. i Attended Marietta on A Full-Tuition Honor Scholarship. A Farm Girl Amongst A Bunch of Rich Kids. i Felt Rather Sorry for Them. Their Lives were Complicated, and They Seemed SO Angry. Their Only Security was the Family Money, While i had Long Been Self-Sufficient. I Got an Excellent Education, and i Thank Marietta for Making That Possible.
