Presently, MY Research can be Divided Into Three Projects That Transition from A Global- and Phanerozoic-Scale to A Core-Based Formation-Specific Perspective and Integrate A Number of Methods, Including Inorganic and Organic Geochemistry, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, and Statistical Analyses. • Activities and Societies: President - Virginia Tech Aapg Student Chapter, Women in Geosciences Mentoring Program MY Work was Focused on A Section of Triassic Lacustrine Shales in the Dan River Basin of North Carolina and Virginia. i Used High-Resolution Geochemical Analyses, Including Iron Speciation and Organic Carbon Isotopes, Combined with Intensive Core Description and Fine-Scale Stratigraphy to Determine Paleolake Chemistry and Depositional Environment That Lead to the Exceptional Preservation of an Insect LagerstäTte.

Cook Honors College While at Iup, i Worked on A Senior Research Project with Dr. Katherine Farnsworth Titled &Quot;Sediment Flux in California Rivers Linked to Anthropogenic and Climatic Events.&Quot; While MY Main Research Focus has Evolved, i Remain Interested in Understanding the Role of River Systems in Sourcing and Transporting Sediment to Deltas and Deep-Water Deposits.
