• i Attended Uccs as A Full-Time, Non-Traditional Student Mechanical Engineering Student. During This Time, i Held A 40+ Hour Per Week Job and had A Young Family. This Experience was Challenging and Taught ME How to Manage Multiple Priorities. Some of the Highlights of MY Time at Uccs are as Follows: •President’S List, Department of Engineering (Three Semesters). •Dean’S List, Department of Engineering (Three Semesters). •Developed and Manufactured A Custom Gear Case for the Uccs Mini Baja Team—Improved Manufacturability While Making the Product Stronger and More Reliable. •Designed, Created the Prototype, and Tested A Gps Tracking Device Enclosure for Navsys—Was Offered A Job Based on MY Performance on This Project. •Two Semester Independent Study of Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement, Operations Management, and Continuous Improvement Methods Resulting in an Accepted Project Proposal by MY Employer to Reduce Setup Times by 50+%.
• Received Training on the 5 Drivers of Leadership Success and an 8-Step Planning Process That Enables You to Define and Align Performance Goals. Learned to Recognize the Potential in Others and Effective Coaching Techniques to Help Them Realize Their Goals. Explored Processes for Driving Innovation and Delegating to Match Talent to Task.
• Completed 80 Hours of Training on Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Methodology—5s, Total Productive Maintenance (Tpm), Value Stream Mapping, Cell Design, Kaizen, Kanban, Pull Systems, Setup Reduction (Smed), Visual Factory, Mistake Proofing (Poke Yoke), and Policy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri). After Training, i Lead Three Successful Kaizen Events and Received MY Certification.
