• Activities and Societies: Lifetime Member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Roll Societyi Completed Course Work to Obtain MY Degree to Become an Occupational Therapist. i Attended A Special Presidential Award Dinner in Which i Received A Medal for A Lifetime Membership in Phi Kappa Phi (Honor Roll Society). as A Student i Carried A Full Load of Classes While Working 32 Hours Per Week. i was Committed to Complete MY Education Driving 90 Miles Daily to Attend Classes. i Formed Study Groups to Help Students Who were Struggling as Well as to Make ME Disciplined to Learn the Material SO That i could Teach MY Fellow Students.
• Providing Activities in A Acute Care Hospital on A Sub Acute Floor for Patients Who Required Nursing Care but were not Well Enough to be Discharged to A Skilled Nursing Facility. i was Responsible for A Budget, Ordering Supplies, Planning Special Events During the Holiday. i Also would Honor Patient'S Requests to GO Outside and Walk the Perimeter of the Hospital and Visit the Gardens. Often Times They would Share Intimate Feelings That They Experienced Secondary to Their Illnesses and Families. I was Responsible for Charting, and Attending Weekly Meetings with the Entire Rehabilitation Staff on the Status of Each Patient. During These Meetings WE would Discuss Appropriate Discharge Plans. Ultimately, the Patient'S Families would be Brought in to Discuss What Their Plans were for Discharge and the Team would Make Appropriate Recommendations, and Referrals as Needed.
