My Dissertation, A Legion of Legacy: Tyrolean Militarism, Catholicism, and the Heimwehr Movement Examines the Conservative Paramilitary Heimwehr (Home Guard) Movement in Austria Between World War i and World War Ii. it Focuses its Attention Primarily on the Tyrolean Association and its Heavy Influence on the Broader Movement. in Doing So, it Argues That the Region'S Deep-Rooted Militarism and Authoritarian Catholicism Provided the Guiding Virtues of the Movement, not Italian Fascism.
• While at Norwich University i Studied Western and Non-Western Military History from Antiquity to Present, Military Thought and Theory, the Interaction of Race and Gender in War and Society as Well as U.S. Military History. MY Capstone Project Focused on the Factors Influencing the Collapse of Spartan Military Hegemony in Classical Greece. i Worked Under the Supervision of Dr. Jim Tucci (Lt Col, Usaf, Retired), A Graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois Where HE Read Greek and Latin for the A.B. Degree. HE Also Holds an M.A. in History from the University of Missouri at Columbia and A Ph.D. in Comparative World History from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Dr. Tucci has Taught History, Strategy, Literature, Classical Language, and Political Science Courses at the Usaf Academy, the US Air Command and Staff College, and Auburn University.
