• Activities and Societies: -Bassist for University of Iowa All-University String Orchestra (4 Years) -Engineering Connection Mentor (3 Years), Mentee (1 Year) -Treasurer of Engineering Student Council (1 Year) -Treasurer of Biomedical Engineering Student Society (1 Year)I had an Elective Focus Area in Musculoskeletal Biomechanics. Within This Focus i Took A Course on Design for Manufacturing Which Taught ME Modern Manufacturing Practices and Methods, Wherein i was the Project Leader for A Group of Five Students. WE were Tasked with Designing, Manufacturing, and Testing A Small-Scale Wind Turbine. Also, i Took A Few Classes on Finite Element Analysis (Fea) Focusing on its Relation to Biomechanics. Specifically i Learned Ansys and Abaqus and Their Application to Thermal Analysis in Tissue and Mechanics of Bone and Related Implants. In MY Biomedical Engineering Senior Design Course, i was the Project Leader for A Group of Three Students. WE Redesigned the Cryogenic Probe Utilized by the Orthopaedic Biomechanics Lab Via Thermal Fea. the Goal was to Improve the Emu Animal Model of Femoral Head Osteonecrosis Seen in Humans by Better Mimicking the Necrotic Bone Region Observed Through Killing A Larger Region of the Emu Femoral Head.
