• Activities and Societies: Sigma Xipartially Completed Requirements for Phd in Mechanical Engineering, Specializing in Robotics and Flexible Tooling and Fixturing Systems for Assembly Applications Using Robotics. the Objective of the Phd Research was to Develop Analytical Models for Dynamically Reconfigurable Fixturing and Create Designs for A Set of Corresponding Modular Fixturing Elements (Fixels) to be Used to Create the Reconfigurable Fixturing. A Combination of Different Fixel Types would be Used Automatically by the Robot to Create the Complete Fixture and Then the Robot would Use This to Produce the Product Assemblies. Completed Required Coursework, Passed the Qualifying Exams and Co-Authored Three Technical Papers for Ieee and Other Organizations Regarding Work Towards the Phd Thesis. Put Phd Effort on Hold in 1985 Due to Demands of Working on This While Simultaneously Working A Full Time Job in Industry.
