Introductory Geology Class Instructor.My Dissertation Focused on Investigating the Temporal and Spatial Dynamics of Sediment (And Associated Contaminants) Movement Through the Lowermost Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers in Louisiana. i Conducted Seasonal Research Cruises in Multiple Sections of Both Rivers for Three Years Collecting A Variety of Data; Including Side-Scan, Multi-Beam, Chirp 3.5khz, Kasten Cores, Box Cores, Clam Shell Grab Samplers, Adcp, Ctd, and Many Others. the Work Resulted in Multiple Refereed Journal Articles.
• Activities and Societies: Field Work in China, Academic Tutor, Undergraduate Geology Lab Ta, White Water Kayaking Ta, Rock Climbing Ta,The Main Focus of MY Masters Research was to Investigate the Catastrophic Decline in Water Discharge of the Yellow River (HuáNg Hé) in China Throughout the 1990s. Water Flow Started to Decline in the Early 1970'S, Eventually Escalating to Result in 227 Days Without Discharge in 1997. Through Extensive Onsite Research Collaborating with Scientists at Ocean University of China (中国海洋大学) i was Able to Determine That A Statistically Significant Decrease in Precipitation, Coupled with Dramatic Increase in Irrigated Land and Population-Related Water Withdrawal Within the Watershed was Responsible for the Decline in Water Flow. Impacts Extended to Affect Deltaic Petroleum Production, Bank Stability, and Energy Production.
