• Activities and Societies: Member of the National Student Speech-Langauge Hearing Association, Graduate Student Clinician at the University of Georgia Speech and Hearing Clinicthe Med in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Uga is an Asha-Accredited Master’S Degree Program in Speech-Language Pathology. This Intensive Full-Time 2-Year Program Prepares Graduates to Serve as Licensed and Certified Speech-Language Pathologists in Clinical, Medical, or School-Based Settings. The Program Provides Unique Opportunities to Receive Specialized Training (E.I. Speak Out!, Loud Crowd, Mbsimp Training, Fees Training, Orton-Gillingham, Etc) as Well as Education in Topics Such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Voice Disorders, Aphasia, Acquired Cognitive-Communication Disorders, Dysphagia, Neurogenic Disorders, Multicultural Issues, Etc. In Addition to These Rigorous Courses, Students Take on A Supervised Caseload, Administer Diagnostic Screenings/Evaluations, and Perform Hearing Screenings. After Completion of Placements at the University of Georgia Speech and Hearing Clinic, Students Receive Placements at Locations Within the Community.
