• Transportation Communications/Iam Training Center is an Advanced Training Program Offered to Traditional Job Corps Program Students That have Excelled in and Completed Their Business Clerical Program Course of Study. Only 5 Students Per Year are Chosen to Attend Advanced Training Per Job Corps Center. i was One of Them. Originally, i had Intended to Focus on Administrative/Clerical in the Airlines Field. However, Just Before i was to Fly to Minnesota to Start MY Program There, September 11th Happened and Dashed Any Chances of Airlines Hiring for the Foreseeable Future. i Switched MY Concentration to Freight Railroad. it was A One Year Program but i Worked Nights and Weekends and Completed the Entire Program in 6 Months. Before Even &Quot;Officially&Quot; Graduating, i Went on Interviewing and Testing Sessions Twice for Csx. i Secured A Position with Them and Stayed There for 11 Years.
• Activities and Societies: Gold Student Member, Student Leadership Team I was Also Chosen to Attend Student Leadership Conference in Jekyll'S Island, GA with Over 200 Members of Other Job Corps Centers Across the US for A Week of Conferences on Being A Leader and Succeeding in the Workplace.Job Corps is the Nation'S Largest Career Technical Training and Education Program for Students Ages 16 Through 24. it is A U.S. Department of Labor Program, Established in 1964, That Provides 60,000 Students Per Year with Hands-On Training in America'S Fastest Growing Careers. Http://Www.Recruiting.Jobcorps.Gov/En/Home.Aspx I Attended the Job Corps Program in Franklin, NC for Their Business Clerical Program. Upon Completing the Program (And Waiting on Placement Availability for Advanced Training), i Worked as the Student Teaching Assistant Grading Tests and Assignments, Administering Tests, Supervising Students During Training on the Switch Board.
