• Dynamical Analysis of Human Movement Variability. Developed A Theoretical Framework to Study Variability in Human Movement and How it Affects Goal Oriented Behavior in Skilled Task Performance. This Framework was Developed by Synthesizing Ideas from Dynamics Systems, Human Motor Control, Optimal Control. Hypotheses Developed, Based on the Above Theoretical Framework, were Experimentally Tested. i Developed A Complete Virtual-Reality System to Conduct Human-In-The-Loop Experiments. Novel Data Analysis Methods Developed During This Work, have Been Applied OT Study Goal-Oriented Movements and Associated Variability in A Range of Discrete Skilled Tasks (Walking, Throwing, Shuffleboard) Shedding New Light on the Organization of Variability in the Goal-Relevant and Goal-Equivalent Directions.
• Developed and Analyzed Models to Study the Nonlinear Bending of Corrugated Sandwich Plates. the Governing Equation (Pdes) Describing the Nonlinear Bending were Formulated and the Numerical Solutions were Sought by Using the Method of Successive Loading.
• Interned at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center to Design and Build Develop A Novel Slender Composite Shell Structure That could Withstand Pure Compressive Loads and Fail Only by Material Crushing (And not Buckling). Computer Codes to Automate the Laying of Composite Fibers Along Critical Directions on the Shell Structure were Also Developed.
