• Activities and Societies: Editorial Board, Law and Psychology Reviewthe Law School Advised ME Before i Entered That i would not be Able to Work While Attending Full Time at the University of Alabama, A Premier Law School. However, i Knew That i would not be Able to Attend at All if i Didn'T Work and Earn Money. Consequently, i had Two Part-Time Jobs the Whole Time i was in School and had Three for A Portion of the Time. One Well-Respected Professor was Shocked When HE Found ME in the Law Library During Christmas Break MY First Year and Asked What i was Doing There. i Told Him i was Writing Letter Briefs and Doing Research for Appellate Briefs for A Law Firm in Birmingham. HE Proudly Responded That i had done Very Well on His Exam, Which was an Honor, Since HE was One of the Most Demanding Professors i had at the Law School!
• Activities and Societies: President, Student Government Association, 1975-76; Mortar Board; Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha NU Chapter; Residence Advisor, Sophomore and Junior Years; Work/Study, Freshman Through Junior Years. Selected to Attend Summer College Classes at Bsc the Summer Before MY Senior Year in High School.As President of the S.G.A., i Attended the Meetings of the Board of Trustees at Birmingham-Southern College. i Served on the S.G.A All Four Years of MY College Career. At Birmingham-Southern i Learned How to Study, How to Read and Understand Large Volumes of Material, and How to Write Answers to Essay Questions on Exams. This Served ME Well in Law School Because Each Law School Course had One Grade, Which was Based Entirely on One (1) Three (3) Hour Final Exam Full of Nothing but Essay Questions. These Skills Also Served ME Well on the State Bar Exam, Which Included Two Full Days of Nothing but One Essay Exam Question After Another.
