• Activities and Societies: Beta Phi Mu: an Organization for Library Professionals.I Attended Uw-Madison'S School of Library and Information Studies (Recently Renamed, Ischool). MY Focus was on Community Engagement and Outreach Services. During MY Time at UW i had Several Practicum Experiences. the First Practicum Experience was at an Urban Afterschool Program for At-Risk Youth. i Worked with the Teachers on Early Literacy and Digital Literacy for Kindergarten Youth. the Second Practicum Experience was at A Suburban Public Library in Reference Services. i Assisted the General Population with Research Questions, Book Recommendations, and Technology Support. the Third and Final Practicum Experience was at South Central Library System as A Community Engagement and Outreach Intern. During the Practicum Experience i Assisted Libraries with Creating Subject Resources for Their Patrons and had the Opportunity to Attend Conferences on Equity and Immigration.
• Introductory Coursework to the Library and Information Field. i Took Courses in the History and Organization of Libraries, Organization of Information, and Cataloging.

MY Personal Focus Included Social History, Cultural History, and Civics. i Sought to Place Historical and Social Studies Into Context for A Better Understanding of the Present.
