• Activities and Societies: Courses: Statistics; Electric Power and Controls; Bioremediation; Hazardous Waste/Risk Assessment; Air Pollution Control.During the Summer of 1996, i Worked for Dr. Carlson, A Cheme Professor, on Process Modeling A Radioactive Liquid-Liquid Extraction Process for A Contractor at Ineel Using Aspen Software. i Also Presented the Project at an Ineel Conference. i Heard About A Biodiesel Project with Dr. Charles &Quot;Chuck&Quot; Peterson in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. i Visited with Dr. Peterson About the Project, Applied for Graduate School, and was Accepted. i Learned How to Make Biodiesel Using Dr. Peterson'S Batch Process. i Used That Process on Location in Caldwell to Make Biodiesel at the Simplot Caldwell Ethanol Plant. the Resulting Fuel was Blended 50/50 with Diesel and Used to Operate One of Simplot'S Over-The-Road Diesel Trucks for 200,000 Miles of Operation. Fun Project, Chemistry in Action. i was Blessed to Learn How to Study. i was Blessed with A Good Gpa and A Job After Graduation.
• Activities and Societies: Orchestraafter A Semester at Bsu, i Went on A Two-Year Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Upon Returning to Bsu, i had to Decide Between Playing Bass in Orchestra (Lower Potential Income) and Focusing on MY Engineering Degree (Higher Potential Income). i Decided to End MY Orchestra Career at Bsu After A Couple of Years. I Wanted to Get A Chemical Engineering Degree (Cheme). in Those Days, Bsu and University of Idaho had an Engineering Credit Transfer Program, SO i could Get MY Degree from an Abet-Accredited School. i Stayed with Bsu to Finish UP Sophomore/Junior-Level Classes Until MY Wife Got Her Bachelor'S Degree in December, 1994.
