To: WILLIAM CROW I am contacting you regarding what I fear may be an awkward subject for both of us; if my my query in any way offends you I apologize. I am searching for the William Crow who on the night of December 20, 1968 was possibly chased by the Zodiac Killer on Lake Herman Road. I am independent researcher who has just completed a well researched book on the Zodiac Killings. Unfortunately the William Crow in question will always be a vital link in any solution to the Zodiac case. I have read the original statement of William Crow as contained in the Vallejo Police, and your later statement to researcher Howard Davis which corrected apparent errors in the Vallejo Police Report. I would like your permission to use the statement you provided to Howard Davis or a similar statement in my upcoming book. Sincerely Yours, John Ritchey
