To: THOMAS A GRANQUIST ...4728 FAUST CT ORLANDO, FL 32817DID YOU ATTEND JAHN SCHOOL IN CHICAGO ILLINOIS? IF SO, HELLO FROM ROSEMARY AND PATRICIA ELAND FROM BARRY AVENUE WHEN WE WERE KIDS. I HAVE CONTACTED THOMAS HILL, HE AND HIS WIFE ARE STILL IN ILLINOIS.
To: LUTHER GRANQUISTLuther, I am moving to Saginaw, MI to a home across the road from son, Ken. In going through boxes ages old, I found some letters you had sent to Dave and me. I am sending them on to you. You may find them interesting as they are from the time when you were studying the classics and then when you were in the army. Your reflections on academia may not have changed over time. Its too bad that letter writing is mostly a thing of the past. Your letters brought back some memories. Hope all is well with you and yours. If your son in Michigan lives close to Saginaw, look me up when your there. We're always the only Ehlines in the book.
To: ELIZABETH F GRANQUIST ...8875 RAGWEED CT SAN DIEGO, CA 92129Hi, this is Timothy Farkas from your 5th period class. Steve and I have been calculating our workload for the rest of the semester, and we have reached the conclusion that we are completely screwed. I would like to know wether or not steve and I could wave the last bio test so we will not have to worry about it. However, this does not mean that steve and I will blow off the AP Test cause we want to do good on it. Here are my reasons for allowing us to wave the last bio test.
1. there will be no time to retake the test for about a week, we will have 1 AP test every school day starting May 8 until May 15th, except for May 10.
2. The chapters we have to read for bio are 250 pages. It would take use 5 days to read that much that we do not have.
3. We will probably fail the last test anyway.
4. we would and could probably read an AP bio review book twice within 2.5 days since they are way shorter.
5. We would do better on the AP Test by reading the AP bio review book instead.
Maybe you could offer the option to the class of taking the 10 chapter test (for those that have already read the chapters), and providing proof of having read an entire AP Bio review book, by requiring a parent signature w/ completed multiple choice questions within the review book. I am not sending you this email because I want to get out of work. I am making these suggestions because I am entirely screwed, and I would probably be in a better place if I could do a bio review book instead of read 300 pages from the bio text book in order to prep for the test.
Thank you for hearing what I have to say
