TO: Bradley Dumas, Thank you for your kind reply. Your uncle Dave knew me by my maiden name--Moss. At the time I was attempting to contact him, I had had a reaction to a medication and was very depressed. I think that he is embarrassed at the idea of talking to me. We were engaged to be married for a little more than a year before he broke up with me. It seems that most men are averse to talking to old flames.... even 40+ years later. I know that he lives in Charleston, SC, with his wife, your aunt Bonnie. I hope that they have been very happy and are doing well. My husband and I will have been married 41 years on December 2....so, to paraphrase a Dan Seals song...(to Dave) ..."I'm not after your body, Baby.....I just wanted to talk to you". I actually dated your dad first, but flipped for your uncle Dave when I met him..........as far as I was concerned, it was love at first sight......but things go awry and everything changes. Is your dad still teaching at College of New Jersey? Your Grandfather and Grandmother Dumas worked past retirement age, too. If you don't mind could you answer one question for me? Your grandmother had a friend, (I think her name was Margaret) who was living with them in their home (in 1967) because she didn't have anywhere else to live. Your grandparents were hoping to be able to retire to Florida without having to take Margaret with them. Did they get to retire to Florida.....just the two of them? Or did they have to take Margaret with them? I hope your life is everything you want it to be. Watch out ... because 60 sneaks up on you fast.....and you don't get a do-over. Sincerely, Linda

The David Dumas who graduated in 1967 from USC is my uncle. If you are still attempting to contact him, I would be more than happy to pass your information along to him. Please include your first and last name in the reply.
