Raymond Zakari earned his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. After Santa Barbara he attended Law School at the University of Oregon, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree. While in law school Zakari was a co-founder and later president of the Native American Law Students Association, he worked for and on behalf of several Native American Tribes.
Moving to Los Angeles, Zakari started as a tenants\' advocate with a single religious discrimination case, he quickly found his niche and gained a reputation as an aggressive no holds barred (but ethical) litigator. Zakari, under the firm name of Zakari Law, represented both landlords and tenants in commercial and residential disputes. Zakari took on difficult appeals and won them, Zakari defended eminent domain actions that other lawyers wouldn\'t touch and won or settled them favorably. Zakari has tried hundreds of cases for both landlords and tenants and handled more than 1000 landlord tenant matters.
Zakari is a member of the Los Angeles County, Pasadena, San Gabriel, and San Fernando Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law throughout the State of California, in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Zakari is fluent in Spanish, German, and Armenian. He is a licensed Ham Radio Operator, (KI6DAM) and is an active volunteer with the Beverly Hills Police Department\'s Disaster Communication Services (DCS).
