Who is Naveen Jain?

the Entrepreneur:
Naveen Jain is the entrepreneurial visionary and leader behind inome (parent of ZabaSearch), Moon Express, World Innovation Institute, Moon Express and InfoSpace. Formerly a Microsoft employee, he left the company famously stating he was, “tired of making billions for Bill” and was moving on to start his own company. Three years later, Naveen was InfoSpace’s billionaire CEO. His entrepreneurial success has earned him awards including “Albert Einstein Technology Medal,” “Top 20 Entrepreneurs” “Entrepreneur of the Year,” among others.

the Philanthropist:
Naveen came from humble beginnings. He grew up in a poor village in India but was taught that success can be attained through hard work and education irrespective of the circumstances. He completed his engineering degree at the Indian Institute of Technology in 1979 and moved to the US to pursue the American Dream. To this day, Naveen is committed to helping people reach goals and achieve their dreams. He is an advocate for improving education, making healthcare accessible in poor villages and leveraging technology to help the world’s bottom billion. Naveen started the Naveen and Anu Jain Family Foundation to focus charitable contributions on supporting education, technology, and children’s welfare. Intelius has consistently been listed among the top 15 Corporate Philanthropists in the community.

the Space Explorer:
In 2010, Naveen co-founded Moon Express, a privately funded company that plans to build and launch a robotic spacecraft to the moon. This commercial lunar transportation company is pursuing the Google Lunar X PRIZE and a long term interest of developing lunar resources for benefits to humanity.

the Man with a Vision:
In addition to the Moon Express venture, Naveen is currently exploring ways to use neuro-plasticity to create better learners and develop neuroscience-based multi-sensory video games that are effective and additive for teaching students skills like math, science and history. Naveen is excited about a challenge to develop “Digital Doctor,” an AI-based expert system, to improve access to primary care physicians around the world. Naveen believes that we can create bio-factories to reduce shortages of food, and use synthetic biology to create microbes that can help with clean water and to generate energy from plentiful resources like ocean water.
