If I were Kris Allen I would have been very surprised and shocked too when Ryan announced the results after the last several weeks of the judges pimping Adam as they have, but as the saying goes "it all works out in the end" and it did again this time, KRIS, wins...if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen....

Hi simon! I'm sick of everyone, crying recount! I know you favored Adam. In passes shows I always agreed with you, but not this one. Not everyone likes Adams style of music. This is American Idol, not heavy metal idol. Yes, Adam does have talent, but Kris has the all american talent.

It's not a matter of "getting over it", as you would say. An injustice has been done. We have had the James Taylor's of the world, over and over. Undeniably Adam is the purer talent. Why he wasn't crowned is the controversy of our times. You deal with it, and stop screaming at those who are stunned at the results. Even Kris and other contestants were shocked. This is a travesty.

The voting process is flawed. Kris was an okay talent, but Adam is undeniably brilliant. It makes no sense that Kris won, and significantly diminishes the show's credibility.

The people have spoken. Kris has that pure voice as a James Taylor. Kris the Soft Rocker -vs- Adam the Hard Rocker. Both are going to have a place in this business. Both great in there own way. Adam is a 70's Rocker and should bring some of that back. We should not be taking anything away from either of them, just relax, have a nice glass of wine and enjoy the music of our times.

These aren't mere rants of a sore loser, something so much deeper is at play. A true talent such as Adam should have been crowned. He has given us the desire to see such stardom, gave us hope for a new generation of music. The generations from the past that loved how the music touched them, we had a glimpse of that again. Had hope in the truth of legends that a legend would be duly noted by winning the title. He wasn't, yes he will be successful, but this was OUR moment, and now it's lost.

As the Brits would say, "the proof is in the pudding" It was obvious from your reaction last night that you were disullusioned by the mockery made of the voting. Kris is a tenlted amatuer, but ADAM is a STAR - personality, voice, humility, caring, need I say more. Please leave this show and for your own show with revamped rules, one vote per person (charge for the votes again) and more candid input from judges. Please help ADAM soar to the stardom he is destined for.

Your show now SUCKS....its become a show where people or kids press re dial and plug in vote after vote to get their town kid in! Simon, AI has joined the ranks of FOX news, never to be watched by me. I read the spoiler and didn't even turn the show on. Kris is a nice person, but his vocal range is minimal. He can play the guitar and piano though. Adam outsang him every time.

RUN, do not walk, away from this show. You are so much more than this show deserves. I regret that AI thinks so little of you judges. I had never watched AI until this season, when I saw Adam, a world class talent. But I knew he would never be allowed to win - AI airs on FOX. The viewing public will respond.... by running, not walking, away from AI and FOX. We'll watch for you on your other shows-as long as FOX is not involved. FOX has shown their true color - and it's NOT a Rainbow!
